My name is Alissa and I am a scrapaholic....ooops wrong letter!! LOL Well wait...that is who I am. I am a self professed Scrapaholic and I very proud to be one. I was brought into the scrapbooking world by a dear friend who was trying to help me get through a very rough patch in my life. She invited me to join her at a "crop" one Friday night and I remember saying to her "oh but I don't have any supplies" to which she responded "no worries I have enough for both of us!".....are you laughing yet? Because remembering that one simple phrase 6 years later cracks me up everytime.
Now I will give you a little back story on me. I am a loving and proud army wife, a daughter, a sister, an auntie to 6 nephews(no pink paper for me), a friend and a doggy momma to three. My wonderful hubby (of 18 years) and I are originally from Bridgewater, NS but were transferred to Edmonton, AB for 10 years and in 2007 we were transferred to Fredericton, NB. We are so excited to be back in the maritimes where life is so different...so wonderful! I took a year off and then decided sitting home just did not work for me. After a three month search for a small white brad (ask me I will tell you the story) I had mentioned to a neighbor that I was thinking about opening a scrapbook store and she approached me to partner in the venture and I accepted.
We opened the store June 7, 2008 and wow has life changed since then. My partner has since moved on to be with her family and I am now the sole owner. I can not express in words how this store has changed my life. I am touched by the most beautiful people every single day. I often wonder why I am so blessed? I not only get to document my life, I have now become a part of "so" many lives I have lost count. I have found the most amazing group of woman and men that I am now able to call my friends.
For anybody reading this bio who is on the fence about scrapbooking, you need to know this...It is not just a hobby! Scrapbooking is so much more and it is difficult to explain in words but there is one word that does sum it up...AMAZING!
